Ologbon Microfinance Bank Limited was organised by Akata Community Development of Ogbomoso in July 1993 and was initially registered under the name Akata Community Bank Nigeria Limited. The name was, however changed to Ologbon Community Bank Nigeria Limited on 5th March 1994.This was formerly registered under the Companies and Allied Matters Act,1990 on 29th July 1994 with Certificate of Registration No RC 260428. The Bank commenced Banking operation on the 16th of July 1994 under the then National Board for Community Banks (NBCB) and later received its Banking license from the Central Bank of Nigeria on the 24th of January 2002, with certificate number 000238.
The Authorized Share Capital of the Bank at inception was N250,000.00 which was later increased to N10,000,000 in August 2004 The current position of the Bank’s shareholders fund is N41,007,141.33 as at 31st August, 2009.
Ologbon Community Bank Nigeria Limited has been transformed to Ologbon Micro Finance Bank Nigeria Limited after obtaining the necessary approval from the Central Bank of Nigeria. The Bank is planning to move into higher level to achieve a rapid growth and profitability.
